The Alchemist's Tomb
Baron William Drummond Stewart embarks on a mission to confirm the truth about the legendary Philosopher’s Stone and the ancient alchemist who created it. Pitted against a sinister secret society, Stewart assembles a team of madmen:
—a Cree marksman
—a Norse history professor
—a defrocked Catholic priest
—a Goth shipbuilder
—a Norweyan stowaway
—a Texan cowboy
—a Scottish Sergeant
—and a French dwarf
Following two assassination attempts, Stewart divides his madmen on two missions. One team will finish what Joseph Nicollet began—collect the Philosopher’s Stone after getting vengeance on the killers who targeted their family. The other team will investigate Professor Nicollet’s theory about why their enemies covet the stone and search for clues about its maker. The quest will take Stewart to the catacombs of Rome, the foundations of the pyramids, and a hidden Goth fortress deep in the mountains of Transylvania, where they search for an ancient tomb.
