01

Hamlet's Ghost (2008)

After learning how to write screenplays from 2000-2005, I went back to the drawing board with a novel. For a short time, I had an agent who tried to find this a home. I expected an agent to help tighten the story, so when she started to get it onto the desks of real publishers, I lost my nerve and didn't renew her contract. I should have hired a professional editor, but instead I self-published. I still like the story, even though I know understand the flaws. Published with Amazon's CreateSpace

02

Cassandra's Curse (2009)

Sloppy and a bit rushed, this was a pretty tight murder mystery. It started as a screenplay in 2000, then a film in 2002, and a novel a few years later. I was simply dabbling with being an author in these days. Published with Amazon's CreateSpace.

03

Ulyssey's Bow (2010)

I learned a lot during this book. Although now unpublished, I still think it is a pretty tight story based on the tale of Odysseus.

Published in 2010 with Amazon's CreateSpace.

04

Atlas's Burden (2012)

Now unpublished, I simply tried to do too much with this book. It tried to do the paranormal Minnesota stuff while also being a Vietnam War story. I had 4 time periods. It should have been 4 novels. Published in 2012 with Amazaon's CreateSpace. Now unpublished.

05

Pan's Apprentice (2013)

A few months after publishing it, I HATED what I'd done. After selling only a few dozen copies, I pulled the plug and unpublished it. It was a lesson George RR Martin/HBO also learned: Know where the story is going! This one is rare since I unpublished it quickly after releasing it in 2013 with Amazon's KDP.

06

The Fire Handler (2017)

Originally self-published with Amazon KDP, this version gave me confidence in the Dream Catcher Chronicles idea. Alas, Kiersten Hall at Fox Pointe convinced me to clean it up and republish it. Glad I did. This version is 1st person, so it's an "alternate" telling. Now unpublished.

07

An Appointed Time

Now republished under Jael Dubya as "Examining Gospel Timelines" this color-coded sequential gospel was a personal project that turned into printed copies for the folks in my Bible studies. Published with Amazon's KDP.

08

Tales from the Haunted Valley (2018)

With the return of Creative Writing, I wanted to put the stories together for the kids. We also used it as a fundraiser to buy books for the class library. Alas, the elective only returned for a few years. Now, the book is unpublished.

09

Examining Christmas (2019)

Originally published under the name Jason Lee Willis, this book is republished under Jael Dubya (JLW). Published with Amazon's KDP.

10

Tales from the Haunted Valley 2 (2019)

I was a pretty proud papa with this collection of Maple River stories. My short story featured Andrew and Sara Good Thunder. With the loss of the creative writing elective, this book is now unpublished.

11

The Wintermaker (2019)

Originally self-published, Covid-19 gave me time to rethink the series (I only sold a few dozen copies). This book will also be republished through Lura Publications.

12

Examining Moses (2020)

First published under Jason Lee Willis, I moved my Christian Bible studies to another website and publishing name just to keep my two branches of publishing separate. Published with Amazon's KDP.

13

Cooked to Death 5 (2020)

A crime, a recipe, and a restaurant...those are the ingredients needed to be part of Rhonda Gilliland's Foodie Anthology, Cooked to Death. My short story "My Brother's Keeper" told the story of the Red Cow Burger of the Amboy Cottage Cafe and the theft of an entire town.

Order from Amazon.

14

The Alchemist's Map (2021)

My first "professionally" published book through Fox Pointe. Chelsea Farr did the editing and Becca Hudson designed the cover. Now published with Lura Publications

16
