Blind Date with An Author
It's a dog-eat-dog world out there! Surprisingly, authors are a pretty friendly cohort, and I've made a lot of friends at festivals and events. Since I've got my wheelhouse of "Histories, Mysteries, Legends, and Lore," I've expanded the literary offerings at my table by including a display of "Blind Date" books.
But it's more than just some rando book. I've currated my collection to feature Indie Authors that I've met through the years. It's like a traveling book store. I buy new copies at wholesale and bring them to the many events I travel to during the year. If a reader doesn't dig my stuff, I offer them something new. But instead of focusing on the "book" I focus on the author.
Each author that participates gets an interview, and inside of the "Blind Date" package (bookmark & beverage), customers also get a business card directing them to my website.
